Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Rubber & Plastic Development

Objective
Drive end-to-end development, sourcing, and cost optimization of Rubber & Plastic components, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and supplier capability enhancement.

Qualification

• Essential: B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical / Plastics / Polymer Engineering)
• Preferred: Knowledge of Polymer materials, Tooling, NPIP, SAP MM

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Rubber & Plastic parts within project timelines and quality targets.
• Manage complete product development cycle including tooling and supplier development.
• Drive cost reduction through supplier negotiations and competitive costing.
• Formulate commodity strategies aligned with business requirements.
• Ensure development activities align with NPIP milestones.
• Monitor commodity price movements and support commercial settlements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Polymers, Rubber & Plastic manufacturing processes.
• Experience in SAP MM, PLM, drawing interpretation, and costing.
• Knowledge of PPAP, ISIR, 8D, QC Tools, 5S, and Fit & Function validation.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and communication skills.

Behavioral Competencies

• Team player with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Result-oriented with good presentation and time-management skills.

Target Industries Construction Equipment, Earthmoving, Tractor, Automotive & Auto Ancillary, Heavy Engineering, Rubber & Plastic Component Manufacturers.

Preferred Location Pool Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, NCR, and adjoining regions.
