Nature – Scope of Job
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality, process compliance, testing effectiveness, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The role has both technical and people-management responsibilities, requiring leadership of a team of approximately 30–40 operators, inspectors, and technicians while maintaining adherence to quality standards, safety requirements, and production targets.
Industrial Engineering & Process Documentation
- Carrying out time studies for the assembly operation on the main lines, sub assy lines and the hot test lines
- Carrying out station wise line balancing activity
- Carrying out cycle time reduction activity by reducing NVA’s
- Drafting , Maintaining & updating the process documentation (SOPS,PFMEA, Control Plan, CTQ Plan) for the current ongoing models based on EWO’s /ECM
Projects & Programs
- Planning of Capex projects for introduction of technological footprint to improve the SQCDM indicators with the Estimates
- RFQ/SOR for the required Capex projects stating the detail of requirements including Safety Parameters, Standard BOQ
- Project Management using Microsoft Project from RFQ , DAP, Installation & Commissioning , Safety Buy Off & Trials and Handover
- Driving & Achieving the MEP deliverables ( Process & Facility ) for each Gate Requirements for New Model following NPIP Process
- Driving and closing the PCM for the new model
- Drafting the process documentation (SOPS,PFMEA, Control Plan, CTQ Plan) for the new models based on Gate Requirements
- Challenging Engineering design change for new models & ECN , conducting DMDR studies leading to DFA & Better ergonomics during proto builds
