Senior Engineer- Quality

Key Responsibilities

Process and Inspection Control

• Execute Gated Inspections to ensure zero defects pass to the next station.
• Conduct regular Process Audits to verify adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Oversee critical Electrical Checks and hydraulic testing.
• Develop and update comprehensive Checksheets for assembly line stages.

Technical Expertise

• Monitor Assembly Processes, specifically hydraulic routing and electrical harnessing.
• Apply working knowledge of Fabrication and Painting to identify upstream quality issues.
• Manage and use measuring instruments and precision gauges.

Team Leadership and Training

• Directly manage and motivate a Blue-Collar Team on the shop floor.
• Conduct Inspection Training for operators to enhance skill levels and quality awareness.
• Foster a proactive, hands-on culture for immediate problem-solving.

Quality Systems and Analytics

• Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) standards.
• Track and improve Customer Quality Metrics: DPU (Defects Per Unit), RFT (Right First Time), Warranty Claims, and Quality Costs.
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D Methodology and other problem-solving tools.

Communication

• Prepare and present quality performance reports via PowerPoint to senior management.
• Liaise effectively between production, engineering, and service teams.
