Overview

Join JCB India Limited as a Senior Manager responsible for leading and elevating our Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices within the manufacturing sector. This leadership role is pivotal to ensuring a safe and sustainable workplace, embedding world-class safety culture, and aligning our operational processes with the highest standards of EHS excellence. Key Responsibilities

• Leadership, Coaching and Development: Provide strategic direction and mentorship to EHS teams and cross-functional colleagues. Inspire and influence to enhance EHS awareness and engagement across all levels of the organisation.
• Safety Management Systems: Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of world-class safety management systems such as DuPont Safety Management and Japanese Occupational Safety and Health Management System (OSHMS). Ensure these systems are embedded deeply and aligned with business goals.
• Compliance and Certifications: Manage and maintain compliance with ISO standards including ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 50001 (Energy Management). Oversee legal compliance obligations including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) and conduct due diligence audits.
• Risk Management and Business Continuity: Develop and administer comprehensive risk management strategies, operational controls, and business continuity plans. Conduct regular audits and assessments to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks within manufacturing processes.
• Process, Project, and Fire Safety: Oversee accident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis. Implement measures to prevent incidents and ensure fire safety compliance and preparedness within all facilities.
• Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) & Sustainability: Champion sustainability initiatives aligned with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Lead reporting efforts under the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) framework and promote sustainable business practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related fields (BSc/MSc/BE/BTech/ME/MTech) complemented by postgraduate qualifications such as a Postgraduate Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (EHS).
• 12 to 20 years of progressive, post-qualification experience in EHS roles within manufacturing or industrial sectors, demonstrating increasing leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience in deploying world-class safety management systems and driving EHS compliance using international standards.
