Duties & Responsibilities

1. Responsible for Vehicle Integration, Maintaining the Vehicle Layout, Concept & Final Design of Various Machine aggregates for  MEWP machines
2. Responsible for End to End delivery right from Concept to Drawing Release, Selection of components, Product Improvements, resolve field issues, adding features, and Material BOM Cost reduction through VA/VE initiatives.
3. Concept work and Design of various Welded Structures, Sheet Metal Parts, Sub-assembly, Structuring the assemblies into layout, ensuring proper coordination & communication within team
4. Design review and Concept presentations & approvals
5. Reviewing the Vehicle Layout and Ensuring the Coordination between aggregate teams. Proposing the observations and ensuring the required modifications for project progress.
6. Design Detailing, BOM compilation and Engineering Drawing release through Engineering Change Management process.
7. Coordinate with Test and Development, Purchasing and Quality Assurance and Production departments for development at various stages of Projects as required till the implementation
8. Understand JCB & International Standard & follow the same within Team.
9. Maintaining Quality and standards during daily work.
10. Achieve deliverables as per given Timeline & Quality targets with Right First Time approach
11. Follow-up with Suppliers & stakeholders to achieve project goals
12. Understand Quotations, Purchase requisitions & Orders and follow ups as needed
13. Progress the Development of machine in Protoshop / Assembly and collaborate for progress

Candidate’s Profile

1. B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical/Automobile/Agriculture) from premier Institute

2. Should handle progressively increasing responsibilities as Design Engineer in Product Engineering and Design role.
3. Should have hands on experience in Vehicle Integration, Layout, Design of Structural & Sheet Metal Parts and Assemblies.
4. Basic knowledge of subsystems like Hydraulics, Electricals, Transmission, Integration of systems to meet machine requirements.

2. Core Product Design Experience of 04-08 yrs.
3. Strong in Written & Verbal communication
4. Excellent skills on CAD UG NX, Teamcenter, PLM
5. Understanding of BOM & Design release process.
6. Experience on Prototype development and build activities.

1. Strong design skills for Vehicle Integration, Structural Parts, Sheet Metal Parts and Assemblies
2. Strong Drawing & Detailing Skills, Able to express views & present various concepts for a given requirement
3. Working in cross functional team environment. Strong written & verbal communication, mindset for meeting the end goal with constant rigour
4. Understanding of Manufacturing Processes, Sheet Metal, Heat-Treatment, Machining, GD&T and their application to drawings
5. Understanding of Construction Equipment machines and its subsystems for product integration
6. Understanding of Material selection, Strength of materials
7. Good Calculation & Analytical skills to evaluate the best optimized design for requirement
8. Strong understanding of Bill of Materials, Design Release Process and Variants management
9. Understanding of International and Indian Standards used in Design
10. Cost focussed, Value Analysis & Value Engineering
11.  Positive Attitude, Team Player and Flexible in accepting & delivering work as per project requirement
12.  Quick Learner and Flexible to work in shifts or timing as per project requirement
13.  Able to manage & work under set project targets for Quality & Timely delivery
